Recently, Personnel Bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences published the list of the members of Youth Innovation Promotion Association of 2015. Long Hao from our institute is in the list.
Now doctor Long Hao is our institute’s associate research fellow with doctoral degree. He is also Humboldt research fellow. He won the award of “excellent doctoral thesis of the Chinese Academy of Sciences” in 2012 and scholarship for “Humboldt scholar” in Germany in 2013. In recent 5 years, he was in charge of many research subjects like youth program and general program of Natural Science Foundation of China, special and top-grade financially-aiding programs of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and programs of Germany DFG Fund. He also published 13 theses on international mainstream SCI periodicals as the first author/corresponding author, and 5 theses on Quaternary Research and Quaternary Geochronology.
“Youth Promotion Association” is the main measure of Chinese Academy of Sciences for “innovation 2020” talent development strategy and also the important element of “talent system engineering” of Chinese Academy of Sciences which aims to fully promote the innovation, scientific research organization and exchange and cooperation abilities of excellent young scientific and technological talents under 35 in Chinese Academy of Sciences, timely find and put young top-notch talents in important positions, train new generation principal investigators who have high morality, are good at grasping scientific and technological leading edge and are able to lead the team to make self-dependent innovation. The institute’s “Youth Promotion Association” uses membership system and selects about 300 members every year. The tenure for member is 4 years. Every member can get 100,000 yuan of special funding every year for academic exchange, scientific research activities, trainings and personal subsidy.
